Rachel Lemons – Cholla City
Yesterday was full of preliminary votings and heavy work on our Cholla city book. We also began working together with our sister city and our county as a whole. This allowed for time to bond and create more incredible friendships.
Thursday began with the general elections for city officials. Polls were sent out and the results for each county were announced at the group session later in the day. Then, we came back to group session and heard from members ringing for state positions. This led to voting and the unveiling of the race results. This part of the day was super nerve wracking as well as exciting.
For the next part of the day, we were divided up between county and state offices and given our further responsibilities. This allowed us girls to really meet and get to know girls from other cities and counties.
This is where the madness began. We had less than 24 hour to complete our city books. The ladies of Cholla had been working on the tasks within the book during previous seasons, but this is where we got down to business. Our book was finished effortlessly and was a true representation of the ladies of Cholla as well as the county of Supai.
