Anna Davis and Sophia (Phia) Bell – Juniper City Reporters

On the first full day of Girls State, the great city of Juniper is already making its mark! Juniper’s own Luna He represented her city this morning by playing the star spangled banner on her violin.

Luna has been playing violin since she was three and a half—four years old. She got involved because her dad was a professional violinist for over 20 years.

Luna said that she was excited to play for Girls State. “It kind of took me by surprise but I was really glad that I was able to show my talent.”

Luna is hoping to represent Arizona in Girls Nation this summer. “I want to run for Girls Nation because I actually have a bill I want to pass.

I want to join the military when I grow up… I want to pass a bill that guarantees veterans life support plans after they leave the military.” If she gets to go, He also said that she would bring her violin to do the same at Girls Nation.
