Leeza Jones & Hannah Dean – Saguaro City Reporters

On Floor 6th in the Sonora building, lives Saguaro city. During the whole week, we’ve made it a tradition to gather around in room 621 to watch the Netflix show: “Heartstopper.”

This happens every night after everything for the day has been done. (Everyone’s gathering around watching it right now as this is being typed up in fact!)

Not only that but numerous dance parties, competitions and so much more have been going on.

We’ve had a plank contest while waiting for the results of our city meeting, and witnessed an amazing rough draft of our Kaibab’s county sheriff practicing her speech.

Boredom is a non-existent thing in Saguaro, there’s always something happening. Whether it’s practicing our speech in front of each other numerous times while gymnastics stunts are being performed in the corner of the room, playing games outside of the hallway while waiting for ballots to finish being filled out, to singing along in one direction while running to our next location.

Saguaro can be found doing something fun in our city almost anytime you stop by!

Above are pictures of our plank competition, which ended up with a winning time of 3 minutes and 30 seconds! Why not get abs at Girls State, right? Beside it is a picture of Kaibab County Sheriff Ava Cure showing her patriotism while practicing for her campaign speech.
